About Us
About Us
Lanterns Way began as a personal mission born from survival, compassion, and a deep desire to give back. As a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, our founder knows firsthand the importance of feeling seen, supported, and safe. Her healing journey inspired years of service—volunteering with rape crisis centers, suicide prevention hotlines, and domestic violence shelters.
But the more stories she heard, the more determined she became to create something lasting.
In 2018, Lanterns Way—originally named Precious Purses of Power—was born. What started as a small effort to collect new and gently used purses from friends and family quickly grew into a movement. Each bag was thoughtfully filled with essentials and encouragement, then gifted to women in crisis as a symbol of strength and solidarity.
Today, Lanterns Way continues to serve women and children impacted by violence with dignity, care, and community. Our mission is simple: to be a guiding light for those navigating the darkest moments of their lives.

Set up as a vibrant, hands-on activity station, Kubby Kids offers a variety of engaging experiences—from arts and crafts to imaginative play and calming sensory activities. This special corner is all about giving kids the freedom to express themselves, process their emotions, and simply be kids during a difficult time of transition. With age-appropriate materials and a nurturing environment, Kubby Kids helps foster resilience, creativity, and a sense of normalcy when it’s needed most.
